Important Information

Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Check-in is after 4pm. Check-out is by 10am.
  • Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.

Property Access

  • All on one level, access is comfortable with two steps to enter.

Policies and Rules

  • No pets allowed anywhere in or on the premises at any time, including outdoor spaces.
  • Bona fide service animals with appropriate certification may be permitted. The presence of a certified service animal must be disclosed prior to check-in.
  • Misrepresenting a pet as a certified service animal is a crime under North Carolina law.
  • Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $500 extra cleaning fee.
  • If any pets are discovered during your tenancy, including via security camera or observation of neighbors or BRMR staff, your credit card on file will be charged for the above-mentioned fee, and you will be evicted without refund of unused days.
  • No smoking allowed inside the home. No trace of smoking should be left outside the home.
  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. The person making the reservation is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March). Travelers visiting during the winter months should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Chains may also be required if it snows.
  • No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • Maximum occupancy: 9 guests.

Fees and Payments

  • Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $500 extra cleaning fee.
  • Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
  • All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy

  • Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments.
  • Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
  • All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • Internet is currently through ViaSat. This will stream, but you may encounter delays if trying to stream on multiple devices at the same time.
  • Well-stocked kitchen with cooking basics, utensils, dishwasher, oven, stove, toaster, and BBQ grill.
  • There is a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
  • Towels and bed linens will be provided.
  • Clothes washing machine, clothes dryer, and ironing board and iron are provided.
  • We do not provide hair dryers.
  • Hot tub is available for guest use.
  • Free parking is available on site.
  • Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are present.

Safety and Emergency Information

  • There are 4 cameras on this property: one on the front porch facing the porch and driveway, one on the side of the house facing a field, one on the back porch overlooking the back yard, and one on the power/utility pole facing the driveway. No cameras point inside the house or toward the hot tub.
